ABN was founded in 1795 specifically to print currency for the Federal Government and did so until 1856. Since that time, through normal growth and acquisitions, ABN has become the pre-eminent security printer in the western hemisphere. Plant and employee security is of the highest order and is certified by the U.S. Treasury, Department of Agriculture (for food stamp production and distribution) and American Express among others. In addition to typical PVC core, standard CR80 plastic cards, ABN even has the ability to print high quality, durable encoded paper cards in vivid four color process.
